Weights are calculated from nominal dimensions at 7.85 g/cm³ and ignore corner and root radii. Producer tables and actual weights differ slightly because of radii and rolling tolerances. Unequal angle: weight ≈ t × (a + b − t) × 0.00785 kg/m.

How to write an angle requirement
Write angles as leg × leg × thickness in mm — for example ISA 65 × 65 × 6 or ISA 75 × 50 × 6 — followed by grade, length and quantity. Where your BOQ lists a weight per metre, include it; it helps confirm the intended thickness.
Grades & standards
Standard numbers define the product and grade; they do not by themselves certify a supply. State the edition and certificate requirement on your purchase order.

MS Angles — common questions
What does ISI & TC mean?
ISI means the section carries the BIS certification mark — produced under licence to the Indian Standard. TC is the producer's test certificate for the lot. "ISI & TC" on an indent asks for both.
What length are sections supplied in?
Commonly 6 m, or longer mill lengths up to about 12 m that need trailer transport. Cut lengths are quoted on request.
What is the difference between equal and unequal angles?
Equal angles have both legs the same length (for example 50 × 50). Unequal angles have legs of different lengths (for example 75 × 50).
Can you supply angles from a specific producer?
Yes, subject to the section being in that producer's range. State the producer and whether an alternative is acceptable.
