What to specify for profiled roofing
- Profile — trapezoidal or corrugated (send the profile drawing if specified)
- Material — PPGL, bare galvalume or GI — and coating
- Thickness, stated as TCT or BMT

- Sheet lengths and quantity — a length-wise BOQ is ideal

Quantities by length, not by area alone
Roofing is ordered by the sheet lengths required for each slope and wall, not only by total area. A length-wise BOQ avoids site cutting and wastage. Where only area is available, share the building drawing and the requirement can be worked out.
Effective cover width
Coverage is measured by the effective cover width of the profile, not the sheet width before profiling. Compare quotations on the same cover width and thickness basis.
Grades & standards
Standard numbers define the product and grade; they do not by themselves certify a supply. State the edition and certificate requirement on your purchase order.
