ZAM Sheets
Zinc-aluminium-magnesium coated sheets for outdoor and electrical fabrication. ZAM Sheets — common questions
Are Magnelis, PosMAC and Magsure the same?
They are all zinc-aluminium-magnesium coatings, from AM/NS India, POSCO and JSW respectively, but their chemistry, coating classes and test data differ. If your design was validated on one, a switch to another needs approval.
Is ZAM better than GI?
For the same coating mass, ZAM typically offers better corrosion resistance, particularly at cut edges. Whether it is the right choice depends on the design, environment and specification.
Can ZAM sheets be welded and painted?
They can be processed with appropriate procedures. Share the fabrication and finishing process so the product can be specified to suit it.
