Sectional weights are the IS 808 values used in the Indian trade. Individual producers' sections and later IS 808 editions can differ slightly — confirm against the producer's table where billing depends on it.
How to use this chart. Multiply kg/m by the length and number of pieces to estimate weight. Steel is usually billed by weight — agree whether billing is on actual (weighbridge) or theoretical weight before ordering.
